Nearly 150 years ago, the arrival of the railway in Pula changed the rhythm of the city. On 28 August this year, the stage of the Little Roman Theatre will bring together outstanding musicians from Vienna, Zagreb, and Ljubljana. Taking the audience on a journey through centuries of musical heritage, they will perform works that have shaped European culture and connected generations. From the magnificent waltzes of Johann Strauss and the celebrated operettas of Franz Lehár, through the timeless lyricism of Giacomo Puccini, to melodies infused with the spirit of the Adriatic, reminding us that our region, too, has always been part of the rich cultural landscape of Central Europe.

The Little Roman Theatre, a place deeply rooted in antiquity, becomes the stage for a new encounter – an encounter of cities, traditions, and time itself. Here, ancient heritage meets the elegance of Vienna’s fin de siècle, Mediterranean passion meets the virtuosity of Europe’s great musical centres, and cherished memories meet the future.

Classic for All Generations is more than a classical music concert. It is a railway journey through centuries of extraordinary melodies. It is the story of Pula as a city with open doors.
